We are thrilled to be celebrating our 12th anniversary! Join us for an evening of celebration with Blues music & dance lovers near and far. On this special night we'll have the Urban Mojo Blues Band playing for us once again! Thank you all for being part of the journey! We look forward to celebrating many more years of dancing together.

An ever-present on the Dublin live scene, The Urban Mojo Blues Band have been captivating audiences for over two decades while remaining true to the definition of the Blues. From Muddy Waters to Robert Johnson, Little Walter to Sonny Boy Williamson, the Urbs, as known by their fans, have developed a set that navigates the blues terrain from the Mississippi Delta to Chicago and making a stop off in Dublin along the way. Crucial to every Urbs’ set are their own originals, in memory of their author, friend and former bandmate, Mick Cavanagh.

Having gained a reputation for their energetic shows, where every member leaves everything on the stage with high-octane, committed performances, the rhythm of the Blues never fails to get audiences moving. In its current iteration, the Urbs have played a number of residencies around Dublin and the surrounding areas, and a number of highly praised shows in the Lighthouse, Dún Laoghaire; the Hot Spot, Greystones; Mother Reilly’s, Rathmines, and The Harbour Bar, Bray.

With Declan Casey on guitar and vocals, Pat O’Raw on bass and vocals, Fran Dowling on drums and Paddy Meyler on harmonica, The Urban Mojo Blues Band presents a collection of some of Dublin’s most skilled blues musicians, playing the Blues, they and audiences have loved and moved to for generations. As the great Mick Cavanagh always said, “The Blues is never out of fashion, because it was never fashionable in the first place.”
